Carbon
Accounting

Carbon Accounting is the measurement, management and reporting of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions within an organisation or associated with a product. Ongoing carbon measurement and accounting, embedded in the same way as financial accounting provides a number of benefits.

Carbon accounting helps identify where emissions are coming from within an organisation or supply chain. By understanding these sources, businesses can make targeted efforts to reduce emissions in

the most impactful areas.

If you’re required to comply with with a particular ESG framework and/or Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting (SECR), then you are required to report on your energy usage, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions and an intensity metric; disclosing the methodology used to calculate these and importantly, any energy efficiency measures taken during the financial year being reported.

Carbon Sense will help you to:

  • Calculate, benchmark, and report your Scope 1 & 2 emissions
  • Understand and measure your scope 3 emissions
  • Embed carbon accounting into your organisation
  • Manage your data and report your emissions on your organsiations behalf in required
